2 pkg prepared brocoli slaw (near bagged lettuces)
1 can sliced water chestnuts (Jicama works well too)
3 green onions- sliced
1 cup toasted slivered almonds
1 pkg Ramen noodles, uncooked and broken up (Oriental flavor)
1/3 cup oil (I prefer sesame oil)
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup white vinegar (must be white vinegar, otherwise flavor not strong enough)
2 T soy sauce
pkg of seasoning from Ramen
20 minutes prior to serving: mix all salad ingredients.
10 mintues prior to serving: mix dressing adn pour over salad and toss to mix.
Note: If I'm taking this salad somewhere, I put all the salad ingredients together, except the ramen noodles, in the tightly-covered serving dish. I break up the ramen noodles into a baggie. I mix the dressing into a jar. When I get to my destination, I shake the dressing jar and add to salad, with ramen as well. Place the lid back on salad and give it a good shake to get everything covered. Now serve!
